Ingredients
- 
2 ripe avocados
 - 
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
 - 
Juice of ½ a lemon or lime
 - 
½ tsp ground turmeric (optional, anti-inflammatory boost)
 - 
Pinch of sea salt & black pepper
 
Seasonal September Additions:
- 
1 small leek, sautéed until soft
 - 
1 handful rocket or spinach, chopped
 - 
½ kiwifruit, diced (yes, it works beautifully with avocado)
 - 
1 tbsp fresh parsley or mint, chopped
 
Method
- 
Scoop avocado into a bowl and mash gently.
 - 
Mix in olive oil, lemon juice, turmeric, salt & pepper.
 - 
Fold through leek, greens, kiwifruit, and herbs.
 - 
Serve on toasted wholegrain bread, crackers, or as a topping for grilled fish.
 
Optional Toppings
Toasted walnuts 
Sprinkle of hemp seeds
